Genetic Diversity of Soybeans (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) with Black Seed Coats and Green Cotyledons in Korean Germplasm

چکیده
Soybeans (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) with black seed coats and green cotyledons are rich in anthocyanins chlorophylls known as functional nutrients, antioxidants compounds anticarcinogenic properties. Understanding the genetic diversity of germplasm is important to determine effective strategies for improving economic traits these soybeans. We aimed analyze 470 soybean accessions by 6K single nucleotide polymorphic loci architecture soybeans cotyledons. found showed narrow variability South Korea. The genotypic frequency d1d2 psbM variants cotyledon indicated that collections from Korea were intermingled Japan China. Regarding chlorophyll content, nuclear gene variant pair produced significantly higher a content than chloroplast genome variants. Among this study, flower color plays an role anthocyanin composition coats. provide 36 core collection representing 99.5% total used study show potential useful breeding materials cultivars

Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr].
In this chapter we describe an Agrobacterium tumefaciens transformation method of soybean that utilizes mature half seeds and regeneration from the cotyledonary node region. This method results in fertile transformed soybean plants and transgenic seed in approximately 9 months. Using mature half seeds as starting material has proven to be a reliable method that does not require additional wound...
متن کاملEffect of replacement ratios on plant traits and seed quality properties in intercropping of soybeans (Glycine max L. Merr) and niger (Guizotia abyssinica Cass.)
A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the competition of soybean intercropped with niger in different planting ratios using randomized complete block design with four replications at Sari agricultural sciences and natural resources university in 2018 and 2019. The intercropping ratios were 0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25, and 100:0 (soybean:niger, respectively) using the replacement series. R...
متن کاملMajor QTLs associated with green stem disorder insensitivity of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.)
Green stem disorder (GSD) is one of the most serious syndromes affecting soybean (Glycine max) cultivation in Japan. In GSD, stems remain green even when pods mature. When soybean plants develop GSD, seed surfaces are soiled by tissue fluid and seed quality is deteriorated during machine harvesting. We performed quantitative trait locus (QTL) analyses for GSD insensitivity using recombinant inb...
متن کاملPigmented Soybean (Glycine max) Seed Coats Accumulate Proanthocyanidins during Development.
The dominant I gene inhibits accumulation of anthocyanin pigments in the epidermal layer of soybean (Glycine max) seed coats. Seed-coat color is also influenced by the R locus and by the pubescence color alleles (T, tawny; t, gray). Protein and RNA from cultivars with black (i,R,T) and brown (i,r,T) seed coats are difficult to extract. To determine the nature of the interfering plant products, ...
متن کاملTranslocation of Sulfate in Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr)1
MATERIALS AND METHODS Sulfate translocation in soybean (Glycine max L. Merr) was investigated. More than 90% of the sulfate entering the shoot system was recoverable in one or two developing trifoliate leaves. In young plants, the first trifoliate leaf contained between 10 to 20 times as much sulfate as the primary leaves, even though both types of leaf had similar rates of transpiration and ph...
